Sportswear is traditionally quite masculine, there aren’t many items of sportswear out there that are particularly flattering and most of the time you end up looking like sporty spice and for the record that is not a good look. Various different brands have realized this and have tried to come out with more feminine and flattering attire for your sporting activities; Victoria’s Secret still tops my list of most flattering active wear (oh if only they did ski and snowboard wear). But when it comes to sportswear, no matter what sport you are doing, practicality and comfort always trumps looking good.
Nike has come up with a new campaign to try and show their softer, feminine side and to make their brand more appealing to all the sporting women out there, especially the ones who want to look amazing whilst breaking sweat. To do this Nike has enlisted the help of women in the fashion, arts and sporting worlds. The campaign is all about showing the relationship between women and the sport they love most and what that sport means to them. Model Mary Charteris, tennis player Sabine Lisicki and film maker Sarah Sophie Flicker are among the women featured in the campaign. This is a fantastic campaign and it’s nice to see women being passionate about sport because sport is definitely something one should be passionate about! My only issue with this campaign is, well, where are thesnowboarders and skiers?!
Here are the new campaign pictures to feast your eyes on...
